Fated (Soul Seekers Series #1)

Fated (Soul Seekers Series #1) - This is my first encounter with Alyson Noel, and I had heard lots of good things about her Immortals series, which was promising. I didn’t know much about the book before I got the review copy, so I was going in with a very, very clean slate. I’m sorry to say I was disappointed by what I read; the writing and story were not things I could really get into. The story was comprised of fragment sentences, run-on’s that lasted as whole paragraphs, and quite a few story clichés (long lost grandmother, evil twin, etc). Maybe it just wasn’t my style or taste, and I’m sorry to say that I barely enjoyed it. But the good news is that I didn’t hate it, while I didn’t enjoy it on any level. I do look forward to reading the other books in this series when they’re released, as there’s promise for the rest–this was just not the strong beginning book I wanted it to be.Read more?http://thaliasbooks.tumblr.com/post/22934565878/fated-review
