The last couple Dessen books I’ve read have been an absolutely disaster. So I kept staring at this one and fearing that it would be like Someone Like You and That Summer all over again–downright terrible and…just not good, actually. However, Keeping the Moon was a pleasant surprise, and I felt right at home with the Dessen I had come to know and love in the first three books I’d read by her. I was able to relate to Colie with her body issues, and the cast of characters was downright amazing. I loved the moral of this story, and I didn’t think anything about it was stupid or dumb, like I have with the last couple ones. It was a really good story, and the epitome of a light, summer read.I’m feeling a little less afraid of Dessen’s books now, and I’m ready to jump back into her work full force!Read more?http://thaliasbooks.tumblr.com/post/53987715475/keeping-the-moon-review
