If I Stay

If I Stay - Gayle Forman I suppose I’ll get a few eyebrow raises at this rating, and before we start this, I’ll just say right now that I was surprised myself. This book won my poll voting on my blog for what my followers and voters wanted me to read next, and I’d heard literally nothing but good things about this book and this series as a whole. As a girl who cries very easily when reading (basically anything could make me tear up at least a little), I was expecting to bawl my way through this like everybody else. However, I was seriously disappointed with my reading experience and expected better of a story so highly praised.I realize that I’m on the minority on how I feel about this book, and I honestly wish that I could see the beauty that everybody else seems to see. However, I’m sad to say that I don’t have many good things to say about this book. It’s a captivating story and has great potential as a plot, but the execution flopped and it felt like suffocating to read this. This is the first book in a long time I had to seriously implement my no-book-left-behind policy and had to force my way through it.Read more?http://thaliasbooks.tumblr.com/post/8987471199/if-i-stay-review
