The Night Circus

The Night Circus - Erin Morgenstern After finishing all the books I had to read for school, and a couple other generally terrible ones, I decided to let my followers pick my next book for me. There was an overwhelming response in favor of The Night Circus, and since I had recently bought it and I’ve been looking forward to it, I was glad that I had an excuse to settle into it!I wasn’t entirely disappointed–the vast majority of the book was beautifully written and the premise of the circus was magnificent. However, it wasn’t exactly what the description painted it to be–definitely not quick-paced or incredibly engaging. And while it was elegantly written, there were some grammatical misuses that really bothered me. All-in-all, I’d definitely say this is worth a shot, especially if you’ve had your eye on it. And if you’re just now hearing about it, I’d tell you to put it on your TBR immediately! I’m very interested in seeing what else Morgenstern has to offer in the future.Read more?http://thaliasbooks.tumblr.com/post/52761188236/the-night-circus-review
