City of Ashes - Cassandra Clare (Spoilers included). This is my favorite of the Mortal Instruments books, emotion-wise (I could never pick an overall favorite!). The tragedy of Jace and Clary pulls you in, and the story takes place not only from Clary’s point of view, but also from other characters–a trait Clare only very briefly covered in the first book. It’s easier to see what everybody is feeling and emotions are on the wire. I’ve never wanted so badly to just simultaneously beat up and hug a character, speaking, of course, of Jace. He tries to badly to treat Clary like he should treat a sister–he tries, and of course, he’s really no good at it at all.Read more on my blog!http://thaliasbooks.tumblr.com/post/4763133702/city-of-ashes-review
