Well, the history of the kings was a little slow, but it's picked up again! (Also I've been addicted to FFXIII-2, so...I've only been reading this at night...)
I love these appendices because they're not boring. Well...not if you really like Lord of the Rings and are interested in the world beyond the main storyline. It's like you get another story! The appendices so far read so well, and like a second story. I loved the addition to Aragorn and Arwen's storyline (even though Elrond is kind of a lot of a jerk). I mean...you miss so much insight and everything if you just stop when Frodo leaves for the Grey Havens. There's so much more, and it's worth discovering!
