The truth is, I only wanted to read this book because of the beautiful cover. But the summary was interesting, too, and it wasn’t until I saw my friends’ status updates regarding this book that I began to doubt it would be any good. But I had hope, and despite everything, when it showed up in the ARC stack my supervisor had, I was thrilled to take it home. But I was sorely disappointed, even though in the back of my mind it was just what I feared. It might not have been so bad if Albin had included a really triggering and unnecessary scene–and that really knocked the book down and made me unable to give it anything more than one, single star. But in addition, the dialogue was terribly written, the plot and characters were cliché, and I just didn’t end up caring about anything going on. Why should I like a book if the author can’t even give me a reason to care?An ACR of this was provided by my supervisor at the public library.Read more?http://thaliasbooks.tumblr.com/post/34430472667/crewel-review
