Well, what can I really say? The most devastating part is that Sumners is a really decent writer; I enjoyed the writing itself, a lot. It was the…everything else part that really bothered me. If Sumners came out with another book, with a different cast of characters, and a different plot, and some different scenes, I would definitely read it and probably love it. She has a great sense of humor and her style is a fun one to follow; unfortunately, the story itself just bothered me so much, and I really didn’t enjoy it. It made me uncomfortable, awkward, and just downright unhappy. I actually enjoyed the very last part of the book, but unfortunately, it just wasn’t enough to erase all my unhappiness for the first three-fourths of the book.I’m just…really disappointed because I enjoyed Sumners’ actual, basic writing so much. It was really, really good. And I just couldn’t enjoy it because of everything else.A copy of this book was provided to me by the publisher.Read more?http://thaliasbooks.tumblr.com/post/40413386565/grace-grows-review
