This is probably the third-best Nicholas Sparks book I've read. But considering my track record with him, that isn't that great. The writing is mediocre at best, the pacing felt slow, and it wasn't at all the book I was expecting/hoping it to be. However, the main couple was more bearable than those in other Sparks novels, and I did enjoy watching the relationship between Taylor and Kyle develop--I'm a sucker for little kids.
Overall, pretty average. Eh.
