I don't even understand how it could possibly be so good. Tolkien is just a master of words, and it's like the most vibrant book I've ever read, and these characters feel more real to me than any other cast I've ever encountered. I don't know if it's because I've literally grown up with this story, and it feels like it's a huge part of me, or what, but I just love every single moment. It's slow to read, but only because I have to go slowly enough to savor every word.
ugh, why can't Tolkien be alive, I need to tell him how wonderful he is.
