I'm Thalia! I run a book blog called Pictures in the Words and I hope to be an editor for YA fiction. I'm a GoodReads refugee!
I am honestly going into this with a wide-open mind. My best friend enjoyed this series. One of my new friends here said it was alright. But then again, it's not like I haven't been in the reviewing community the last three years--I know the general consensus.
But hey, I liked Fallen, so who knows?
But...I've also read the first seventeen pages. And I'm pretty sure I know.
Should we talk about the fact that the author didn't wait more than one sentence before making the meeting between Patch and Nora almost exactly like Twilight? Or, you know, the horrendous insta-love that is sure to occur. Or the fact that Patch sounds like a complete stalker. And no, there is no school on planet earth (except the one in "Mean Girls") in which the gym teacher also teaches the biology class. Because, you know, college degrees are a thing, and I get the feeling that Coach McConaughy probably didn't go to enough college to be qualified enough to teach biology and gym.
I just. Might have to pull out the .gifs again for this one.
