Pretenders - Lisi Harrison

I'm only just starting to remember who everyone else. (Though, for the life of me, I still don't understand the point of this novel.)

(The following is more so I can remember who people are than for commentary, hahah.)

Sheridan is the girl who is obsessed with acting. "Channeling" someone new every day, and all that jazz. She's conceited and believes she's better than everyone else. (Or, "not conceited; just fact" as she would say.) She's been flirting with Andrew (Duffy) lately. Her dad owns some car dealership that I think Vanessa's brother works at.

Lily is the one who pretty much stalks Andrew. She's been homeschooled until now, and she's just "naturally gifted" when it comes to academics. Her best friend, Blake, is gay, and they are definitely not dating. Also, she's a skater(?) She signs all her journal entries with "Duffy" at the end of her name. O-kay. (She gets paid $25 for every A+? Dude. I should have made like, $150 last semester then. I guess the satisfaction of just doing well in order to go to a good college and have a good job isn't enough motivation for kids anymore.)

Vanessa is the brilliant one who gets rashes when her family fights. Every time she gets an A, they go to Benihana. (Seriously, is everyone in this book rolling in the dough??) Her brother works at Sheridan's dad's dealership. She's pretty much in love with Blake. She's high and mighty about being the best and blames her bad grades on other people. She doesn't like Lily solely for the fact that Lily did better than her on an algebra test.

Andrew is obsessed with basketball and pretty much wants his parents to pay and do everything for him. He made Varsity--he thinks Lily is kind of weird and seems to like Sheridan (though for the life of me, I can't understand why).

Then there's Jagger. Okay, Jagger. I doubt his parents named him that. Speaking of, his parents are in jail for beating up a kid who bullies other kids. Because that's a logical approach to solving bullying--HAVE TWO ADULTS BEAT UP THE KID TO TEACH HIM A LESSON. OKAY. Jagger likes Audri...who is...Sheridan's best friend? I think? I don't see how he's related to the plot at all. (Hahahahahahah, what plot?) The author has neglected his narration for awhile now.

THERE'S NO POINT TO ANY OF THIS.
